How notifications work
Notifications keep you informed about activity across Dual Dash.
They are triggered by actions in the system and help you stay aligned with your work, team, and responsibilities.
Notifications are delivered in two ways:
- In-app notifications
- Email notifications
What triggers notifications
Notifications are sent when important actions occur, such as:
- Being assigned to a goal or task
- Being added as a collaborator
- Being tagged in a comment (@mention)
- Updates to goals, tasks, or work you are involved in
- Upcoming or scheduled 1:1 meetings
- Performance Review requests or updates
- Survey invitations
These ensure you are aware of what requires your attention.
In-app notifications
In-app notifications appear inside Dual Dash.
They allow you to:
- See updates in real time
- Track unread and read notifications
- Navigate directly to the relevant item
Each notification includes a direct link so you can take action quickly.
Email notifications
Email notifications are sent based on your organization’s Business Hours.
This ensures messages are delivered at appropriate times and do not create unnecessary noise.
Email notifications are typically used for:
- Important updates
- Invitations
- Reminders
@mentions and comments
When you are tagged using @mention:
- You will receive a notification
- You can click the notification to go directly to the comment or discussion
This helps keep communication fast and connected to the work.
Staying organized
Notifications are designed to help you focus on what matters.
To stay organized:
- Review notifications regularly
- Use direct links to take action
- Clear notifications once addressed
The bottom line
Notifications ensure nothing gets missed.
They connect activity across the system so you can stay informed and take action quickly.
